Stephanie Carter Davis

While attending Sojourner Douglass College, Stephanie Carter Davis interned as a community advocate for the United Planning Organization in Washington, D.C. In that role, she helped interview first-, second- and third-generation Barry Farms Housing Community residents about having to move from the only place they had ever known. The publication became a part of an exhibit at the Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum.

An effective volunteer, Stephanie raised $75,000 for the Annual Elenora Holmes Norton Christmas Party, which supported Toys for Tots. She also managed a program for The Capital Area Food Bank and was a client intake worker and volunteer secretary with St. Vincent DePaul Society, which feeds 100+ families each month in the Ward 6 neighborhood of Washington D.C..

Stephanie, who holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Strayer University, is now payroll administrator for Associated Builders Inc.
