City of Laurel Mayor Kicks Off This Year’s First “City Hall in the Park”

City of Laurel, Mayor Keith Sydnor, Presents Peace on Patuxent Inc. with $2000 Donation on Behalf of the City

Laurel, MD – May 22, 2024 – The City of Laurel announced the launch of this year’s first “City Hall in the Park” event, where Mayor Keith Sydnor proudly presented a $2,000 donation to Peace on Patuxent Inc. on behalf of the city. This significant contribution underscores the city’s commitment to supporting non-profit organizations that make a meaningful impact on the community.

About Peace on Patuxent Inc.

Peace on Patuxent Inc. is a no-cost respite home and day retreat established for women battling life-threatening cancers. Our services are designed to promote well-being and centeredness through counseling, expressive writing, guided meditation, nutritional education, yoga, and more. The home also features a meditation library and a meditation garden. Peace on Patuxent is open to adult women who have been diagnosed with cancer within the past two years or are currently undergoing treatment. There are no ethnic, income, or educational requirements for participants.
