Ann Andrus

Board member Ann Andrus has a wealth of organizational experience, most notably as a 25+-year public servant. She is a project coordinator for the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Prior to that, she was a longtime executive assistant with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Ann said she joined the Peace on Patuxent board because “I truly believe in its vision and mission. Women facing cancer in the Baltimore/Washington region need a place to come and just rest from all of their worries and focus on themselves – to have a day or two of relaxation.” She added: “I also became involved in this organization because I believe in what Senita is doing and I want to support her in that mission in any way that I can.”

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ann graduated from University of Maryland Global Campus with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and business administration (and a 4.0 GPA). She then earned her master’s degree in criminal justice from Southern New Hampshire University.
